از این به بعد بهتره در این تاپیک در مورد درایورهای کارت های گرا�?یکی ATi بحث کنیم،چون اهمیتشون کمتر از خوده hardware نیست.;)

AMD SAID version 7.3 of Catalyst for graphics cards is available from the ATI web site, with some improvements.

It says Dark Messiah Might and Magic has 12.5 per cent or more performance on Crossfire for both Windows XP and Vista.

New features include support for Open GL Crossfire on the entire ATI Radeon line for Vista.

There's also improvements on the Linux front - which includes a beta release of the Control Centre to replace the FireGL control panel.

Those of you who ended up with black screens if the X Server was terminated from the text console will be pleased to learn this won't happen any more. If you've just done that on the machine you're using you won't know about this because you can't read INQ stories on such a display.

ATI has released Catalyst 7.4 for Vista, XP and Linux. This monthly update became a tradition. The new driver increases the Open GL performance in Vista on all Radeon X1000 series on a single cards and Crossfire setups. You should typically expect about 15 percent in games such as Doom 3, Quake 4 and Play. With high end cards you can reach a 30 or more percent increase.

The new driver has a new feature, Avivo video converter for Windows Vista 32 bit. This is a cool transcoder that can easily and quickly convert your videos from one format to another. It is part of the Catalyst control center and it supports formats such as MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4/DivX, WMA, H.264/AVC and more.


The Linux driver called 8.36.5 supports Kernel 2.6.20 and it has beta version 0.9 of AMD catalys control centre for Linux. The new driver has language localization in Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazilian), Russian, Swedish, Spanish, Thai, and Turkish. Only Bosnian / Croatian and Serbian are missing.

The Linux driver resolves an issue with certain APG cards and now works well after switching from X-Server to a text console.

اینم از درایور جدید ATI که توسط Guru 3d مد شده و خیلی عالی کار میکنه من تست کردم رو HD2900XT در DX10 11% و 3dmarke 06 6% قویتر است. امید وارم لذت ببرید

من همچین مشکلی نداشتم ولی درایور خود ATI بازدهی کمی داره و درایور Guru 3D بهتر از مال خودش کار میکنه

مشکل با پاک کردن کامل درایور مایکروسا�?ت که همراه ویندوز ویستا عرضه شده بود بتوسط برنامه Driver Cleaner و نصب مجدد درایور ATI Catalyst 7.8 حل شد.

DAAMIT has decided to release yet another hotfix for Catalyst 7.9. The mentioned hotfix is mostly for the new game titles.

Markham (ON) – AMD has released Catalyst 7.10 yesterday, which, according to the company, will speed up the gaming performance of some its graphics card configurations by up to 80%. HD 2400 and HD 2600 cards get Crossfire support.

If you are unhappy with your ATI graphics card and the performance delivers in recently released games, there’s a good chance that the manufacturer’s latest driver update may fix this issue. Performance increases for certain games are what we are expecting by now from driver updates, but version 7.10 certainly is a standout.

AMD said that 70% DX10 speed gains can be seen in Crossfire HD 2000 configurations for BioShock and 14-67% for World in Conflict. Single HD 2600 and 2900 cards will be able to return about 20% more performance under World of Conflict.

The entire HD 2000 series will see “at least�? 70% more speed under DX9 in World of Conflict, according to the manufacturer.

Other games that see improvements are Lost Planet (+20% in DX10 for HD 2000 Crossfire); Call of Juarez (+42% in DX10 on HD 2000 Crossfire, +34% on single cards); Company of Heroes (+80% in DX10 on Crossfire HD2000, 31% on single cards); Battlefield 2142 (5-23% on Crossfire HD 2400, 2600, X1300, X1550), Call of Duty (+7% on Crossfire/single card HD 2400 and 2600 systems); Enemy Territory: Quake Wars (+23% on X1000, HD 2000); FEAR (+16% on Crossfire X1950 XTX, X1650 XT, HD 2400, X1300/X1550) and Supreme Commander (+30% on HD 2000, X1000; at least 82% on Crossfire X1650, X1300/X1555).

The new driver also comes with a few new features such as adaptive anti-aliasing for X1000 cards as well as Crossfire support for HD 2400 and H2600 cards.

CrossfireX driver, at least an early version of it, has been leaked, and a nice gaming woman repacked it and uploaded it for you here (http://www.forum-3dcenter.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=405737). You will need such a driver to make two 3870 X2 to render in Quad-GPU setup.

Crossfire X driver comes tomorrow

Giuseppe Amato, the Director of Value Proposition team at DAAMIT EMEAI, has just confirmed that Crossfire X, or Catalyst 8.3, will launch tomorrow. This new driver will feature Hybrid graphics at the same time.

The driver will support 44X AntiAlising mode and two cards should actually end up much faster than a single one. We don’t know how it scales but we will tell you after CeBIT.

Triple and quad GPU are possible, and you can mix and match ATI's Radeon HD 3800 series. PowerPlay will be the part of that driver.

Well, it comes tomorrow, and we will know much more soon.
